November/December newsletter

The end of 2023 is fast approaching – the OCTC Committee extend a welcome for you to come along to our annual Christmas Club Day on Saturday, December 02 starting at 2.00 PM (Rain Day December 09).

In keeping with tradition, after our games on December 02, there will be prizes for the “best dressed” Christmas-themed costumes for Men and Ladies – the costumes have been getting better each year and the OCTC judges can’t wait to see what this year brings! We will also be using this opportunity to acknowledge as well as congratulate our 2023 Club Champions (Men and Women Singles, Men and Women Doubles and Mixed Doubles).

Come along and join us on December 02, entry is free but please BYO and a plate to share.

To celebrate the start of our Summer Season, we will be holding extra “Social Saturdays” on December 09 and 16 starting from 4.00 in the upstairs room of the Pavilion. BYO, a $5.00 entry fee PP (to cover costs), BYO and nibbles provided – an enjoyable time is assured.

Some other notes:

As well as Coach Pete’s very popular Cardio Tennis sessions on Mondays from 6.00 PM; he is also running a “tennis beginners” session on Mondays from 5.00 PM. Please contact Pete on 027 4944 4915 to register, pay and get ready for some great work outs.

Mixed Doubles Fun Competition – first Tuesday of the month from 5.30 PM. To ensure your slot, contact John Whitfield –

The Club will remain open right through the Holiday season – booking a court is easy via the Omokoroa Community Tennis Club Website; click on the “Book A Court” icon and follow the prompts. Courts are free for OCTC Members; a $10.00 fee applies to Non-Members. Tennis is the perfect exercise to get rid of any extra Holiday calories!
